Job Title: Patient Care Assistant
Summary:
Assist patients with activities of daily living under the direction of licensed personnel, including bathing, dressing, and eating. Additionally, assist with taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output with accuracy within established timeframes or as requested.
2. Complete all documentation in the medical record as required.
3. Interact effectively with patients and their families.
4. Assist patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
5. Help patients turn and reposition themselves in bed and assist with transferring between bed and wheelchair.
6. Listen to patients' health concerns and report them to nurses.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
* 1-2 years of experience in patient or elder care preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
* Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts)
* Nursing Assistant (LNA) - New Hampshire
