About the Role
We are seeking a Program Reporting Project Officer to provide effective administration and support for a major ICT program. This role involves managing program reporting, project administration, procurement, finance, and asset documentation. You will work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of innovative capabilities to Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide general administrative support including program reporting, record keeping, secretariat support, and development of briefs and communications.
* Assist with procurement submissions and documentation in line with Commonwealth legislation and guidelines.
* Support project administration including schedule maintenance, risk and issue tracking, financial administration, and resource management.
* Contribute to financial planning and budgeting, collating data for analysis and decision-making.
* Deliver contract management support including variations, deliverable reviews, and contract closures.
* Maintain configuration control over project items and assets.
Contract Details:
* Location: Canberra, ACT
* Duration: 12 months with up to 2 x 12-month extensions
* Security Clearance: Must hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance. Candidates with a Defence-recognised Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly preferred.
The Successful Candidate
You will be a highly organised, dynamic, and outcome-oriented professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
* Project support services, including planning, scheduling, and tracking.
* Quality management and process improvement.
* Financial administration and compliance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to work under limited direction.
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrated ability to provide project support services and use project control solutions.
* Experience assisting in quality management and process improvements.
* Proven capability in financial monitoring, planning, and reporting.
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
