About Us:
Join the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and play a pivotal role in delivering Australia's most significant health infrastructure project. In a landmark commitment made in October 2022, the Victorian Government set in motion substantial enhancements to the Parkville campus, coupled with the establishment of the innovative Arden medical precinct. This visionary endeavor, a $5 to $6 billion expansion, marks a milestone in health infrastructure. An initial investment of $2 to $ billion initiates the transformation at Parkville and lays the foundation for the future Arden medical hub. RMH is assembling a distinguished leadership team to champion this monumental program.
The Opportunity:
As the Deputy Project Director, your leadership will be instrumental in guiding RMH through the planning, execution, and completion of key initiatives, including:
4. Decommissioning, and demolition of the Parkville Materials Handling Building (MHB).

6. Providing invaluable support to the planning and execution of a new Arden hospital, with a focus on technical excellence spanning tender preparation, procurement, and delivery.
Collaborative Partnerships:
This role necessitates close collaboration with internal stakeholders across Redevelopment, Capital Works, Engineering, and Service Planning. Furthermore, external partnerships are essential with precinct and government stakeholders, including the Victorian Health Building Authority, Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Water & Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) of Medical Research, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) and the University of Melbourne.
