Position: Research Officer (Full time)
This role is based in the Electorate Office of Tjorn Sibma, Member for Western Australia, located in Stirling. The Research Officer will collate, research and analyze information to support the Member of Parliament. The position includes administrative duties related to the operations of the electorate office.
Key Responsibilities
* Collate, research and analyze data to support parliamentary work.
* Prepare written documents and reports.
* Assist in administrative functions of the electorate office.
* Respond to social media inquiries.
Required Skills and Experience
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Work independently and exercise initiative.
* Interpersonal skills for complex, confidential situations.
* Understand the impact of issues in the constituency and parliamentary processes.
* Knowledge of Government and Parliamentary procedures.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Employment Details
The position is offered under the Electorate and Research Employees (CSA) General Agreement 2024. A probationary period of three months applies.
