Proton Power is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and deliver commissioning activities across major energy and infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at the forefront of innovative power and energy solutions.
As the Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the commissioning of systems, plants, and equipment to ensure they meet client operational requirements, project specifications, and safety standards. You will act as the critical link between engineering, construction, and client teams, ensuring smooth project delivery through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all commissioning activities across multiple projects
* Develop, review, and approve commissioning plans and procedures
* Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless delivery
* Oversee testing, commissioning, and performance verification of systems and equipment
* Identify and resolve commissioning and operational issues
* Monitor project performance, budgets, and compliance with contracts and standards
* Conduct site visits, audits and ensure quality and safety compliance
* Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high satisfaction
* Lead, mentor, and develop commissioning and operations teams
* Drive continuous improvement across commissioning processes and performance
About You
* Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or similar)
* Proven experience in a Commissioning Manager or similar leadership role
* Strong background in utilities, construction, resources, or energy projects
* Demonstrated experience managing large-scale commissioning activities
* Strong leadership capability with experience building high-performing teams
* Solid understanding of project management, contracts, and cost control
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Strong safety focus with a proven commitment to SHEQ standards
* Ability to travel to project sites as required
