Job Description

Reporting to the Territory Manager, this role will be based in Rockhampton and is a key part of our lubricant and distribution operations. The primary focus of the role is the delivery of packaged and bulk lubricants to customers across the region.

Your day-to-day work will involve picking orders, loading products by hand and forklift, and delivering to customers. Bulk lubricant deliveries are also a core part of the role and involve pumping product into customer storage tanks. You will be responsible for planning delivery schedules and dealing directly with customers to ensure a high level of service is maintained.

In addition to deliveries, the role includes yard duties such as receiving and unloading inbound deliveries, general housekeeping and assisting with the caretaking of our unmanned diesel stop at Gracemere.

There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to train on the On-Site Refuelling minitruck to provide additional coverage delivering fuel. Once trained, there is the option to pick up additional shifts delivering fuel and providing leave relief for the permanent OSR driver.

This role offers a minimum of 35 hours per week, with plenty of opportunity to work additional hours when available.

This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with depot staff, drivers and customers to deliver safe, reliable and efficient outcomes. It offers strong exposure to the broader Ampol distribution business and opportunities to develop new skills.

Key responsibilities
* Picking, loading and delivering packaged lubricant orders to customers
* Bulk lubricant deliveries, including pumping product into customer tanks (manual handling involved)
* Developing and managing delivery schedules
* Providing professional, customer-focused service during deliveries and site interactions
* Forklift operation and manual loading/unloading of products
* Yard duties including receipting, unloading and storage of deliveries
* Assisting with the caretaking and basic upkeep of the unmanned diesel stop at Gracemere
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
* Completion of routine depot, yard and equipment checks
* Training and relief driving on OSR truck and semi tanker (once qualified)
* Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Territory Manager
Qualifications
* HR driver's licence essential
* Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain)
* Previous delivery, warehouse, logistics or transport experience preferred
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to plan and manage delivery schedules
* Understanding of safe work practices
* Experience in dangerous goods or the petroleum industry is desirable but not essential – full training provided
