Role: Inclusivity Coach
About the Role:
The role of an inclusivity coach is to support teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students. This involves providing coaching on strategies and tactics for adjusting teaching practices to meet the needs of neurodiverse students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing coaching to teachers on effective adjustments for neurodiverse students
* Collaborating with the Student Services team to identify and implement strategies for supporting students with additional needs
* Developing and leading workshops on social and emotional skill development for small groups of students with specific needs
* Consulting with external services as required to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Requirements:
* Expertise in PDA, ASD, ADHD, ODD and further study in inclusive or special education
* Proven performance and ability to cater for additional needs in mainstream classes as a teacher by making adjustments to learning
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A passion for working with neurodivergent students and developing their social and emotional skills
