Various AO4 Positions - Administrative, Queensland Health

Part time, Full time, Contract, Casual/Temporary

Lead and coordinate Senior Administration teams in patient services across Metro South – Choose your role, Temporary Full-Time or Part-Time, Brisbane.

Metro South Health is inviting applications for a range of Temporary Full-Time and Part-Time senior administration leadership positions in Brisbane, offering opportunities to lead administrative teams, coordinate patient services, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare.

Your new role:

In these senior administration positions, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient coordination of patient services and the effective operation of administrative teams. Your responsibilities may include:

* Leading and supervising administrative staff, including rostering, workload management, performance planning, and staff development.
* Coordinating patient appointments and schedules across daycare, outpatient, Gamma Knife, telehealth bulk billing services and more.
* Maintaining compliance with budget, safety, and quality standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
* Resolving operational issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintaining effective administrative systems, records, and reporting requirements.
* Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and administration processes where relevant.
* Promoting a culture of fairness, respect, and cultural sensitivity in interactions with patients, staff, and stakeholders.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

* Strong administrative and office procedure skills within a busy environment.
* The ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences while maintaining confidentiality.
* A commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with Queensland Health systems (e.g., HBCIS, ieMR, Powerchart, MOSAIQ, MedClaims, ESM) is desirable.
* Advanced computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of medical terminology (desirable).
* A respectful and compassionate approach aligned with Metro South Health values.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
