As the business continues to expand, an excellent full-time opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join their skilled workshop team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, completing scheduled servicing, and maintaining the high standards for which the company is known. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering stability, professional growth, and the chance to work in a supportive team environment.

THE AIM OF THE ROLE

To professionally service, diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to the exceptional standards upheld by DGM Ventures Pty Ltd, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

THE SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The Motor Mechanic will carry out accurate diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and maintenance work on a range of vehicles. This includes mechanical and electrical fault identification, component repairs, and completion of service tasks in accordance with industry and company standards.

REPORTING LINES

You will report directly to the Workshop Manager.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections as required.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using manuals, diagnostic equipment, and industry-standard tools.
* Remove, disassemble, and inspect mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, steering and suspension systems.
* Perform repairs or replacements on faulty components and ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
* Report anomalies or additional issues discovered during servicing.
* Reassemble components and conduct operational tests, making refinements where required.
* Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, and fluid replacements while ensuring compliance with pollution and safety regulations.
* Manage allocated tasks efficiently within set timeframes and communicate delays or concerns promptly.
* Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics and trainees when required.
* Maintain positive communication with team members, suppliers, and customers to uphold the company's customer service excellence.
* Represent DGM Ventures Pty Ltd professionally and ensure all work reflects the high quality expected by the business.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time role, requiring a minimum of 38 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 year of full-time, post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic in a commercial workshop setting.

SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES

* Strong skills in light vehicle repair, servicing, and maintenance.
* Solid understanding of petrol engines, suspension, transmission, steering, and braking systems.
* Ability to interpret service manuals and technical documentation.
* Competency using computer-based diagnostic tools.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and customer service abilities, including explaining technical issues in simple terms.
* Commitment to maintaining high professional and safety standards.
