The Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Project Officer, you will be responsible for managing projects related to the investigation and cleanup of hazardous substance sites in Montana.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. The Environmental Project Officer must have a strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations, and the ability to plan, coordinate, and direct interdisciplinary technical studies.
A Bachelor's degree in earth science, physical, biological, environmental, or engineering, and two years of experience in natural resource processes, remediation, mine waste reclamation or other related hazardous substance investigation and cleanup are required. Preferred experience includes customer service, public speaking, project management, procurement, contracting and experience in program field.
