Our focus is on delivering GCSE and Functional Skills, empowering learners to build confidence, skills, and qualifications for progression.
Role Information
As a Maths Tutor, you will support learners in developing their maths skills and confidence, guiding them towards achieving nationally recognized qualifications. You will work with a nationwide team, creating tailored learning experiences and bringing your creativity into every lesson. You will receive support from a subject specialist manager, vocational managers, and tutors to deliver an exceptional learning experience.
We are recruiting a part-time Maths Tutor within our Maths & English division, working a total of 9.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills maths sessions.
2. Assess learners' starting points and identify development needs.
3. Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences.
4. Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets and reviews.
5. Handle administrative tasks like learner registers and performance documentation.
6. Collaborate with vocational colleagues to support retention, achievement, and progression.
7. Ensure assessments meet awarding body and organizational standards.
8. Participate in team meetings, standardization, and moderation activities.
9. Promote safe working practices in line with safeguarding and health and safety legislation.
10. Continuously develop your skills through CPD opportunities.
Additional Duties
Create an inspiring learning environment, support learners' transition to work or further study, and uphold company values, diversity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Provide support, advice, and guidance to learners, customers, and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Maths Tutor with at least an L3 specialism.
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills.
* Teaching qualification at least L3.
