Apprentice Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a comprehensive learning journey and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of mechanical engineering. As a Mechanical Trade Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced mentors and industry experts towards obtaining the MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade through a combination of on-the-job training and online course components.
In addition to gaining a nationally recognised qualification, you will receive full product and service training to support you in building a strong foundation for your career. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in assembling material transfer hoses and tubes, assembling component parts, operating hand and small power tools in a safe manner, and providing assistance to technicians as required.
Your key responsibilities will include completing all online course components, undertaking and completing on-the-job training, attending meetings and training as required, and ensuring compliance with quality policies and WHS procedures. You will also be expected to provide routine reporting and contribute to discussions and requests for feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
• Completing all online course components and on-the-job training
• Assembling material transfer hoses and tubes, assembling component parts, and operating hand and small power tools in a safe manner
• Providing assistance to technicians and completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensuring compliance with quality policies and WHS procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
We are seeking a candidate with a genuine interest in mechanical engineering and sound language, literacy, and numeracy skills. You should be able to use a computer and learn new systems, demonstrate a strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work, and display confidence in representing the company. A willingness to learn and undertake training as required is essential.
The ideal candidate will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to providing good quality customer service, and the ability to work reliably and punctually. Neat and tidy presentation is also a must.
