QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations, and correctional and health facilities.
About The Role
In this role, you will support QBuild's mission to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry through exceptional administrative coordination. By supervising and guiding administrative staff, you will ensure high-quality service delivery and effective support for the section and category managers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coach a team of administrative staff through effective supervision, performance management, training, and support.
Provide high-level administrative support to the section and category managers, including research, preparation, and actioning of correspondence.
Serve as the central point of contact for regional staff, offering quality information on financial, information management, records management, and other administrative issues.
Ensure efficient and high-quality customer service to QBuild customers by coordinating responses to escalated queries and using interpersonal skills like negotiation and dispute resolution.
Develop and implement administrative processes to improve work order management and service delivery, while preparing, monitoring, and maintaining various business reports.
Required Skills And Experience
Experience in coaching and supervising administrative staff is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The role also requires proficiency in administrative duties and customer service.
