**About the facility**

Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria's largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,700 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 30 key locations throughout the region.

The Women's clinics provides access to specialist outpatient care to consumers in the Geelong and surrounding Barwon South West region. The role is based at University Hospital Geelong_._

**About the role**

The Program Manager has operational responsibility across a number of pivotal acute and community based children's and family services. This leadership position requires an experienced person with operational management, decision-making and change management skills. The role's key components include leadership and management, operational management, governance, accountability, human resource management and safety and quality to ensure high quality consumer care.

Your role will include but not limited to;
- Providing leadership and professional specific support across Maternity and Perinatal Services, Barwon Health and partnering agencies.
- Reports provided monthly and as requested
- Proactively monitor service achievements and implement improvement strategies where requires.

Essential: Clinical health background required with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Essential: A minimum of 3 years management experience
Essential: Evidence of ongoing updating and training with qualifications
Desirable: Post graduate qualification in public health or business management.
Essential: Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
Essential: Demonstrated robust communication and interpersonal skills
