About The Role
As a Mentor in our WFA team you will play a vital role in shaping the future of individuals seeking sustainable employment. You will work one-on-one with customers to identify their strengths, remove barriers, and guide them through tailored action plans toward becoming job ready.
This is a dynamic role that blends relationship building, problem-solving, and goal setting, while also fostering strong connections with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create meaningful employment opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
* Build strong, trusting relationships with customers to provide guidance, motivation and mentoring throughout their employment journey
* Identify customer goals, strengths and challenges, and create targeted action plans to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
* Conduct assessments to determine readiness for employment and identify training or support needs
* Celebrate customer milestones and successes to keep motivation high
* Collaborate with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create and maintain opportunities for employment
* Maintain accurate and compliant records in line with contractual and organisational requirements
* Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Manage your portfolio effectively to meet targets and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For
* Proven ability to build rapport and trust quickly with people from diverse backgrounds
* High level of resilience and ability to adapt your approach to suit different situations
* Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Understanding of employment readiness and the steps required to achieve sustainable outcomes
