One of the world's largest renewable energy companies is exclusively partnering with Phillip Riley on the appointment of a Project Development Manager to support the growth of its Australian development portfolio.
This role will lead multiple renewable energy projects across wind, solar and battery storage from early-stage planning through to Final Investment Decision. You will work closely with internal technical, commercial and legal teams, as well as a broad range of external stakeholders, to ensure projects progress efficiently and responsibly through the development lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project development manager to step into a role with an international IPP that has a huge pipeline of work. This is not an origination role.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
* Lead the development of renewable energy projects (wind, solar) and firming assets (battery storage).
* Develop and manage project delivery plans, schedules, workstreams, and resource requirements.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
* Identify, document, and mitigate project risks.
Early to Late-Stage Development
* Manage environmental assessments and planning approvals with support from external consultants.
* Collaborate with internal technical teams to manage procurement, design development, yield assessments, and grid connection studies
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
* Engage with planning and regulatory bodies to support project approvals.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, communities, media, and other stakeholders to support the project's social licence to operate.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project priorities and timelines are met.
* Stay informed on renewable energy policy, regulatory changes, and industry developments.
About You
* Ambitious with 6+ years' professional experience in renewable energy, resources, consulting, planning or a related field
* Experience in progressing utility-scale wind, solar or BESS project development in NSW
* The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Planning, Property or Law (or similar)

* Willingness to travel interstate and to regional project sites
