About The Opportunity
At PMHC, every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking development assessment, building certification, plumbing regulation, and related activities for the Council.
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant recent experience in building certification and development assessment. A minimum registration level with NSW Fair Trading as a Building Surveyor - Restricted (Class 1 and 10 Buildings) is required. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, stakeholder engagement skills, and excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential.
On a Typical Day This Role Will
* Assess Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Development Applications, and plumbing and drainage applications.
* Respond to general inquiries.
* Undertake critical stage building inspections.
* Work from branch offices as needed.
Remuneration And Benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting from $94,301 to $109,593 depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation of 11.5%
This role qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowance.
