Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Specialist, you will work with clients across various sectors to reduce environmental impacts and improve compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments of air quality, including odour, dust, and greenhouse gas impact evaluations.
* Perform dispersion modelling using CALPUFF, AERMOD, CAL3QHCR, GRAL, and meteorological modelling using TAPM, CALMET, WRF.
* Analyse large environmental datasets, including meteorology, pollutant concentrations, and monitoring outputs.
* Undertake ambient air quality and deposited dust monitoring, QA/QC checks, and interpretation.
* Prepare reports for approvals, permits, and compliance audits.
* Support sustainability assessments for major projects.
* Liaise with project managers and clients for data collection and logistics.
Required Skills:
* Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
* 2–5 years' experience in environmental consulting, including dispersion modelling and emissions estimation.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as Queensland DES and NSW EPA.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
