What you'll be doing
Atturra is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst with extensive Azure cloud migration experience to support a Federal Government engagement within the Cloud Business Solutions team. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead technical working groups, and support the resolution of critical customer issues.
You will evaluate end‐user business requirements, translate them into detailed technical specifications, and work with delivery teams to design and implement fit‐for‐purpose solutions across cloud, integration, and legacy environments.
Due to the security requirements of the project, candidates must already hold an active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
* Examine and evaluate current systems, processes, and data flows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Identify, analyse, and document system requirements (functional and non‐functional), including business rules, user journeys, security, reporting, integrations, and performance expectations
* Engage and liaise with end users and stakeholders to elicit additional requirements and feature enhancements, clarify priorities, and confirm expected outcomes
* Facilitate requirement workshops and interviews; capture decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints, and maintain a clear requirements traceability approach throughout delivery
* Document interfaces between new and legacy systems, including API specifications (where applicable), data mapping, transformation rules, validation logic, and error handling
* Develop and maintain analysis artefacts such as process maps, current/future state documentation, user stories/use cases, acceptance criteria, and solution design inputs
* Collaborate with the IT team, architects, and developers to support solution design and delivery, ensuring requirements are understood and translated into implementable technical outcomes
* Support delivery planning by estimating effort (where required), identifying risks and mitigations, and contributing to implementation and cutover planning
* Validate changes by planning and executing testing activities, including system testing, integration testing support, user acceptance testing coordination, defect triage, and re‐testing following fixes
* Train users on new or updated systems and processes by preparing user guides, quick reference materials, and training sessions, and provide post‐implementation support and troubleshooting
* Ensure deadlines and budget requirements are met by monitoring progress against milestones, escalating risks/issues early, and supporting governance and status reporting
* Maintain accurate documentation and change records, ensuring solutions meet internal standards, compliance obligations, and audit requirements
* Stay up to date with current technologies and technical developments, and proactively recommend improvements aligned to organisational needs and industry best practice
Working Conditions
* On‐site / Hybrid
* Permanent / Contract
Qualifications

* Strong understanding of the end‐to‐end build and release lifecycle, including SDLC/Agile delivery, environment promotion (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD), DevOps ways of working, CI/CD pipelines, and change/release management controls
* Ability to interrogate technical solutions effectively, asking the right questions to surface constraints and non‐functional requirements across architecture, security, networking, data, integration, and operations; able to challenge assumptions and drive technical clarity
* Proven capability to produce and maintain technical analysis/design artefacts including system context diagrams, interface/API specifications, data models and mappings, sequence/interaction flows, integration patterns, and detailed functional/non‐functional specifications
* Strong knowledge of enterprise business information systems, including application architecture concepts, data flows, batch/real‐time integrations, identity and security considerations, logging/monitoring, and reporting/analytics dependencies
* Ability to translate complex technical detail for mixed audiences (engineers, architects, cyber, operations, and business stakeholders) and document decisions
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills, including root‐cause analysis, impact assessment, dependency/risk identification, and translating findings into implementable technical requirements and acceptance criteria
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non‐technical audiences
