Your new role
This is a hands-on role where you'll be the go-to person for all things bookkeeping. From managing day-to-day transactions to supporting payroll and supplier coordination, you'll help keep the financial side of the business running smoothly. You'll also play a key part in budgeting-tracking expenses, helping forecast costs, and making sure everything adds up.
You'll work closely with both the operations and management teams, and no two days will be the same. If you enjoy variety, solving problems, and taking ownership of your work, this role will suit you perfectly.
Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end processing of accounts payable and receivable
* Daily banking, reconciliations, and payment batch preparation
* Timesheet and payroll data management
* Purchase order and requisition review
* Supplier coordination and logistics tracking
* Billing queries and substantiation
* Financial reporting and tracker sheet management
* Budget tracking and forecasting support
* BAS preparation and lodgement
* Support with tax compliance and preparation
* Maintaining procedures and training documentation
* General office duties and administrative support
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
* Strong experience in bookkeeping and financial administration
* Advanced Excel skills and MYOB proficiency (essential)
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Experience in construction, manufacturing, or automotive industries (preferred)
* Knowledge of BAS and tax preparation processes
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
