Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based in Brisbane, QLD. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and managing the front desk in a professional and welcoming manner. Day-to-day tasks include handling incoming and outgoing mail, scheduling appointments or meeting room bookings, and maintaining visitor logs and basic security procedures. The role also includes general clerical support such as filing, data entry, updating contact lists, and ordering office supplies. The Receptionist will coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and provide customer service support by responding to inquiries and directing customers to the appropriate contact.
Qualifications
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with visitors, customers, and team members.
* Demonstrated phone etiquette and experience managing a busy switchboard or multi-line phone system.
* Proficiency with core receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and maintaining a tidy reception area.
* Clerical skills such as filing, basic data entry, handling mail, and using office software (e.g., email, calendars, word processing).
* High level of reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‐paced environment.
* Comfort using or learning office and communication systems; prior experience in an administrative or front‐desk role is beneficial.
* Professional presentation and a courteous, inclusive approach to colleagues and visitors.
* Completion of secondary education; additional training or certificates in business administration or customer service are an advantage.
