About the Team:
The Commsee Crew is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the CommSee platform, which is a core staff-facing system used by CBA's Retail and SME frontline and back-office personnel.
The platform supports CBA's digital-first strategy, aiming to deliver modern, intuitive, and best-in-class technology for staff to serve customers efficiently.
The team works on evolving digital and assisted technology, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs
Do work that matters
You'll be part of CommSee platform team responsible for building the next generation lightweight web based staff portal. This is aligned to CBA's digital-first strategy, serving as the single pane of glass for Retail and SME frontline and Backoffice personnel.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Leadership, mentoring, and coaching engineers. Sharing knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices.
* The full software development lifecycle with a focus on excellent design and architecture, web, API, CI/CD, AI, cloud (preferably AWS), automated testing, infrastructure cloud pipelines, security, resilience and observability.
* Quality assurance through pair programming, code review and automated pipeline release management.
We're interested in hearing from people who possess the following (Technical Skills):
* Strong architecture and design skills
* AI assisted engineering and agentic AI for enhanced customer experiences
* Developing 3-tier application both on-premises and on cloud covering Frontend, Backend and Databases.
* Backend: .NET Core, C# is essential
* At least one scripting/programming language (i.e. TypeScript, Python, PowerShell).
* Frontend: React, Typescript, NextJS (desirable)
* Exposure and hands on knowledge working with different AWS services
* Microservices design and implementation of highly scalable APIs.
* CI/CD tools (i.e. GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus).
* Automated Quality Engineering and Testing (Unit Testing, Contract testing, Integration Testing, Functional/Regression Testing).
* DevOps experience, especially Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation (desirable), SST, or similar tools
* Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation (desirable)
* Database: SQL and NoSQL experience would be advantageous

* Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
