The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving process improvements, and delivering high-quality system outcomes.
This is a full-time, office-based role at our Surfers Paradise location. Daily in-office attendance is required to support collaboration, product development, and team alignment.
This role is ideally suited to candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance of Surfers Paradise who can reliably attend the office each day.
What You Will Be Doing
* Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements
* Analyse workflows and identify process improvement opportunities
* Develop functional specifications and support system enhancements
* Coordinate system testing, including UAT and validation
* Identify, reproduce, and document system issues and bugs
* Liaise with development teams to support issue resolution and validate fixes
* Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system issues
* Provide user training and maintain system documentation
* Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams
What We Are Looking For
* A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
* At least a Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Experience in the short-term rental/holiday accommodation industry
* Hands-on experience with a PMS platform (e.g., Guesty, Resly, or Hospitable)
* Knowledge of SDLC and system implementation practices
* Availability to work on-site, 5 days per week
The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:
* Knowledge of trust accounting
* Familiarity with Microsoft tools and environments
* Exposure to OTAs (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com) and channel management systems
* Experience with PMS integrations and third-party tools such as Breezeway or similar platforms
* Exposure to SQL, JSON, JavaScript, or ReactJS
