Role Overview
As a Family Support Specialist in our Intensive Family Preservation Program, you will be crucial in delivering client-focused and outcome-based services.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with clients who experience complex issues to reduce risks and create positive change within their home environments.
* Develop and implement case plans in collaboration with families and other service providers, and conduct in-home visits to support the achievement of agreed goals.
* Ensure that the voices of clients and families are heard in case planning and goal setting.
* Work respectfully to ensure that case plan goals are achievable and realistic.
You will support families in meeting their needs, with a focus on cultural inclusivity and trauma-informed care, to improve the lives of vulnerable children.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in the Human Services field (Diploma of Community Services or equivalent; degree qualifications preferred).
Practical experience in working with vulnerable families and an ability to identify children and young people at risk.
Demonstrated expertise in client-centred case management.
Knowledge of the community services sector, trauma, and its impacts, crisis impacts on families, child protection issues, and legislation.

* A fixed-term contract with possible opportunity for extension.
* Salary ranges from $44.58 to $47.97 per hour, plus 12% superannuation.
