HNP TRANSPORT LOGISTICS PTY LTD, a Melbourne based Transport Company, offers transport services with superior real-time tracking and reporting to its clients. It has a large fleet of vehicles and trailers available at service. HNP Transport Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Manager to join our business team, based at our Melbourne site. Directly reporting to the senior management of the company, you will be responsible for supporting all the Metro and Regional Transport operations. You will be required to oversee all the active routes of the organization and manage a highly skilled workforce. You will be required to meet new clients needing assistance and assessing their requirements and maintain relations with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- The ability to think strategically and to understand what needs to be done.
- Effectively planning the fleet operations saving fuel cost and quick turn-around time for the clients.
- Track and monitor performance of various teams using Data Analytics tools.
- There will be lot of work over the phone to speak to clients and also service coordinators.
- You need to explain to the clients how services are to be charged and ensures they fully understand this so strong communication ability is key.
- You need to assess and suggest which service will be best suited to each client's needs.
- You need to daily communicate with the Service Schedulers and team members
- Strong awareness of occupational health and safety
- Responsible for the administration side, i.e. sick leave, holidays, casual and part time staff needs, including overseeing the KPls.
- Allocating mentors to new joiners and ensuring they get trained for the job.
- Give weekly Financial and Operations Reports to the senior management who you will meet on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ability to think out of the box and suggest new innovative solutions to ease various business processes.
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Strong academic background, Bachelor's or Master's degree from reputed institutes preferred
- Proven two years of experience of working in a multi-cultural environment; handling teams and directly reporting to the senior management
- Excellent time management skills in a fast faced operational environment
- Experience with Workforce Management Solutions (Kronos)
- Accurate data entry skills to support customer DIFOT reporting
- Financial reporting and analytics knowledge for capturing costs incurred across various runs and routes
- Advanced computer skills and ability to fully utilise the existing data and obtain insights
- Understanding of transport KPls to monitor and improve operational performance
- Strong retail domain experience and must have worked in Warehouse Operations team
- Strong IT background on managing and drafting requirements for IT Business Solutions for the company in the future
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Early Morning) - Week End on call.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
