The Role
Assetlink is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Dockmaster to join our Operations Team at the Perth Airport. This role is vital in maintaining the smooth and compliant running of the waste loading dock, ensuring the area is safe, clean, and well-managed.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 7am-3pm.
What you’ll be doing 
- Overseeing the daily operations of the waste loading dock.
- Coordinating waste pickups and managing recycling streams.
- Ensuring proper separation, disposal, and compliance with waste handling regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order across the dock area.
- Operating compactors, balers, and other dock equipment safely.
- Inspecting materials, reporting hazards, and keeping accurate waste logs.
- Working collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
What we’re looking for 
- Previous experience in cleaning and overseeing dock operations.
- Cert III in Cleaning Operations (desirable).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to use and maintain equipment effectively.
- Be well presented, proactive and able to work well on your own
- An understanding of chemical handling procedures and proper cleaning techniques (or willingness to learn)
- Cleaning Machinery experience (scrubbing, buffing, car park sweeper) preferred
- Good knowledge of and a commitment to safe working practices
- Be physically fit to carry out standard duties and ability to walk for lengthy periods
- Valuable listening skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Be able to communicate in verbal and written English
- Ability to work flexible hours and public holidays
- Must have valid work rights in Australia
