About the Role:
The Emergency Department Clinical Development Nurse (CDN) plays a pivotal role in fostering excellence in emergency nursing through a coordinated and structured approach to education. As a key member of the Emergency Department Education Team, the CDN is responsible for delivering a range of educational initiatives—formal, informal, and opportunistic—that support staff development and enhance clinical skills across the department.
This dynamic role also encompasses clinical leadership, promoting high standards of professional and clinical practice in emergency nursing. The CDN contributes to the advancement of nursing education and supports departmental management activities, including the oversight of designated portfolios. Through mentorship, guidance, and collaboration, the Emergency CDN helps shape a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence within the fast-paced environment of the Emergency Department.
