Position Overview
This role involves providing care, support and guidance to children and young people in out-of-home care.
The team works together to create safe environments where young people can heal, grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver daily care and support in accordance with each individual's care plan
* Foster trusting relationships and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour
* Organise activities that promote development, resilience and wellbeing
* Maintain accurate documentation and reports
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Support culturally safe practices, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
* Transport young people safely in line with organisational and legal guidelines
Requirements:
* A certificate in child, youth and family intervention or community services (or equivalent experience)
* At least 1 year of experience working with children, young people or families in a community or care setting
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A current driver's licence
* Willingness to obtain required certifications and screening checks
