Join to apply for the Finance Manager role at Revere Recruitment
For 15+ years, Calexico's two James Street boutiques have been Brisbane's home of international style - now they're scaling the online experience to match the in-store magic.
We’re now looking for a strong Finance Manager who thrives in a dynamic fashion‑retail environment and can drive robust financial controls, strategic insight and business growth across both brands.
As Finance Manager you’ll serve as the finance lead for the dual brands — responsible for accurate financial reporting, high-quality insights, system and process improvements and supporting commercial decision‑making. You will partner closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the business grows profitably, remains agile and continues to build its premium reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial close for both brands, ensuring timely and accurate P&L;, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
- Develop and present financial reports, KPIs and dashboards to the leadership team — highlighting performance, trends, risk areas and growth opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning cycles; integrate solid commercial insight specific to luxury / specialist retail.
- Drive cost controls, inventory margin oversight, expense monitoring and financial governance across retail, wholesale and online channels.
- Collaborate with operations, merchandising, e‑commerce and retail teams to provide financial insight that helps shape product investment, pricing strategies, promotions and channel mix.
- Manage and maintain accounting systems, processes and internal controls — recommend improvements to support scalability and business agility.
- Lead management of external audit and tax processes, ensure compliance with statutory obligations and maintain best practice financial policies.
Who You Are
- Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with significant experience (ideally 5+ years) in a senior finance role within retail, fashion or consumer brands.
- Strong commercial mindset — able to interpret numbers into business insight; you thrive when translating financial data into strategic action.
- Proven ability to manage across multiple business units or brands, with experience in inventory‑driven businesses being a plus.
- Proficient with ERP/accounting systems relevant for retail (e.g., MYOB, NetSuite, Xero) and comfortable working with cross‑functional teams (merchandising, retail ops, e‑commerce).
- High integrity and strong internal control mindset: you build processes, identify risk and recommend enhancements.
- Excellent communicator: can present complex financial concepts clearly to non‑finance stakeholders, and partner as a trusted advisor.
- Adaptable, high‑energy and ready to operate in a fast‑moving, premium retail environment where the pace and expectations are high.
Why Join Us?
- Join two well‑regarded Australian luxury fashion brands with strong growth potential.
- Be the finance lead in a dynamic environment where you'll influence both brand strategy and operational performance.
- Work within a culture that values collaboration, creativity, excellent service and employee growth.
- Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)
- Genuine opportunity to make a visible impact — your work will help shape the future of Calexico & Calexico Man.
