The Opportunity:
Futura Mining Services is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Supervisors to join our team at the Wilton and Fairhill Mine Sites working a rotating day and night roster. Reporting directly to the Asset and Maintenance Superintendent, this will be a hands-on role, actively present in the field to monitor, support, and guide contractor teams. The Maintenance supervisor will ensure tasks are executed safely, in compliance with standards, and with a strong focus on improving equipment availability and operational efficiency.
Duties will include:
* Lead, coach and support a maintenance team to deliver safe, efficient and reliable operations.
* Enhanced contractor performance through consistent oversight and accountability.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with statutory requirements, company policies and site SHMS.
* Support continuous improvement across maintenance systems and processes
* Provide day-to-day supervision of maintenance across day and night shift operations
* Reduced downtime by promptly addressing issues and ensuring quality workmanship.
* Work collaboratively with Production team to optimise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
* Foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership
About You:
As the successful candidate, you will be a maintenance leader with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence. You will provide clear direction and supervision to maintenance personnel, ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment, and oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across site.
The above will be achieved and supported by:
* Demonstrated experience in mine site Maintenance environment
* Demonstrate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
* Australian recognised Trade Qualification
* Comprehensive understanding of QLD Coal Mining Legislation and its application to the maintenance operations
* Strong knowledge of multidiscipline engineering and industry standard practices
* Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude with the ability to build effective working relationships within a team oriented culture
* Strong commitment to safety and health, constantly demonstration an overriding focus on commitment on safe work practices and environmental responsibility
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
* Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
* Valid driver's licence and proof of right to work in Australia
* Successfully pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
