Reporting to the Regional Manager of HR, the HR Business Partner is responsible for providing HR advice and services to leaders and employees across VIC/TAS. Ideally this role will be based at our Brooklyn or Thomastown site.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
* Support operational level leaders with HR advice on people related matters
* Provide coaching and advice to people leaders to enable business strategy execution.
* Support the delivery of strategic people plans with people leaders and their LTs, ensuring plans deliver measurables and tangible results in business outcomes.
* Support annual employee cycle processes within portfolio, including performance, remuneration, talent management and succession planning.
* Support re-organisations to ensure appropriate target operating models are well embedded, and our processes are in line with best practice and legislative requirements, and change leadership is of a high standard in line with our Values.
* Provide coaching and counsel to operational level leaders on performance management, managing complaints and grievances, ensuring the right outcome is achieved for employees and the business and mitigating any potential risks with the mindset of 'coaching leaders to lead'.
* Roll out of key HR initiatives such as learning, OD or talent within the business unit
* Engagement at a local level to support line leaders and the Workplace Relations Team through EBA Roadmaps.

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;
* Qualification in Human Resources and/or Business (degree level preferred).
* Experience in the delivery of HR policies and processes
* Commercial and business acumen demonstrated through alignment of people programs and outcomes
* Experience influencing, advising and challenging leaders
* Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity
* Understanding of relevant workplace relations legislation and regulations.
* Communication, problem-solving and influencing skills, including consulting and negotiation skills with the ability to advise and influence stakeholders.
* Able to build and sustain relationships within the business through consultation and interpersonal skills.
