Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Business Advisory team.
This role offers an opportunity to work across various industries and closely support businesses of all sizes, driving and delivering innovative client solutions alongside accounting, advisory and tax experts.
As an Accountant with our team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns and general purpose reports for different entities and industries.
1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, income tax returns and general purpose reports for clients.
2. Tax Research and Compliance: Conduct research and prepare tax returns, handle payroll tax preparation and general tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation.
3. Client Support: Provide exceptional client service, resolving issues and addressing individual client needs. This will involve exposure to a range of business structures – partnerships, trusts, companies and individuals.
4. Journal Adjustments and Reconciliations: Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations and supporting work papers for clients' accounts.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with other divisions and capability offerings across the firm.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A degree in Accounting or related field: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce is required.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MYOB and Xero is essential.
3. Professional skills: You should be professional, client-focused and committed to developing into a trusted subject matter expert and advisor.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, prioritisation, attention to detail, time management and organisational skills are necessary.
