**About the Project**
This is your opportunity to join the Redpath team as they are ramping up operations at their new underground mine at the historic Rothsay Gold Mine. The Rothsay Gold Mine is located approximately 80km east of Perenjori WA and approximately 400kms from Perth Airport, which is a 1 hr flight from Perth direct to site. The scope of this project includes portal development from a new boxcut, development into the orebody and mine production. Redpath will have a fleet of brand new underground equipment making it an exciting opportunity for operators and tradespeople alike. It is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the start-up of a new mine and experience the challenges of a narrow vein ore body.
**The role involves**
- Working a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, 12hr shifts
- Operating a Sandvik DL212 Long hole drill
- Perform accurate drilling by working with engineering to ensure holes are drilled correctly
- Ensure safe, effective and productive operation of the production drill
- Productively perform mine production tasks as required
- Ensuring machinery used are cleaned and presented for service regularly
**We are looking for**
- Experienced in the operation of underground production drills (long hole)
- The ability to multi-skill in underground operations
- Valid manual drivers licence
- National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, **Consider it done — safely**.
