This is an excellent chance for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive team within a large and expanding global business on a 6-month temporary basis.
In this role as Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process and hit the ground running, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
Processing end to end, multiple weekly and fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time for + employees.
Interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll correctly.
Attending payroll queries.
Maintain pay records, associated time keeping data statistics, leave records and related
information.
Assist in the processing of worker’s compensation claims.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of group certificates es.
Monthly reconciling of payroll, PAYG and superannuation payments and authorised payroll deductions.
Calculating termination pays.
Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
Processing of headcount, various leave reports and other employee reporting.
Assist with wage subsidy application process and pay
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Payroll Officer position completing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll
Experience with Pronto is highly regarded
A highly motivated and experienced candidate that will hit the ground running and make an immediate impact
Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
