Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist patients at the hospital or clinic front desk
* Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination
* Handle inbound calls and patient enquiries
* Process patient registrations and maintain accurate medical records
* Support medical billing and payment processing
* Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams
* Maintain confidentiality in compliance with Australian healthcare privacy regulations
* Update patient information using medical software systems (Best Practice, Medical Director, Pracsoft, Genie or similar)
* Ensure smooth daily front office operations
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administrator, or Front Desk Officer
* Experience in hospital, clinic, or specialist medical practice preferred
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology and patient management systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
