About the role
Watertek Pty Ltd is seeking an Irrigation Laborer to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW on a full time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems across a range of commercial and residential properties.
What you'll be doing
1. Assist with the installation of new irrigation systems, including trenching, pipe laying, and sprinkler head installation
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks on existing irrigation systems, such as adjusting sprinkler heads, replacing worn parts, and clearing blockages
3. Identify and report any issues or faults with irrigation systems to the team
4. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
5. Liaise with clients to understand their irrigation needs and provide recommendations
6. Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience as an Irrigation Laborer or in a similar manual labor role
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
4. Good communication and customer service skills
5. Knowledge of irrigation system components and installation techniques
6. Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks
7. Current driver's license
8. Valid car license (C class) is required
9. Australian citizens or permanent residents only
