About the role:
To support the delivery of our new strategic project portfolio we are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our team. This newly created role will support the project planning and delivery of the shiploader projects with a focus on project engineering, quality, commissioning and technical support. The project includes the decommissioning and build of a new shiploader and major refurbishment of two other shiploaders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Project planning and onsite construction for the new shiploader project.
* Development and review of design and project risk assessments.
* Structural analysis and design of shiploader machines and structures including compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes for site and fabrication works.
* Assist in the daily management of projects and studies to meet project milestones.
* Provide technical engineering support to align projects with business strategy.
* Support the development and management of supply packages including engineering and procurement specifications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience:
What we are looking for:
* Proven project engineering or project management experience.
* Good leadership and communication skills.
* Tertiary or Advanced Diploma qualifications in Structural / Civil or Mechanical Engineering is essential.
* Experience in machine design or construction in a heavy industry environment is highly desirable
* Competitive remuneration package including 18.5% Superannuation
