Our state government partner is seeking a dynamic Principal Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of major road infrastructure projects across Queensland. Join a high-performing project team driving complex civil works from planning through to construction delivery.
About the Opportunity In this leadership role, you will manage the delivery of critical infrastructure projects while providing expert engineering advice across design, procurement, contract management, and construction phases. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the delivery of complex road infrastructure projects across multiple project phases
Manage contractor performance, procurement activities, tenders, and contract administration
Provide technical engineering expertise across planning, design, construction, and project delivery
Monitor project budgets, forecasting, progress, and reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and legislative standards
Coordinate stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and technical teams to achieve successful project outcomes
Identify and manage project risks, stakeholder issues, and operational challenges
What you’ll bring
Proven experience delivering civil or transport infrastructure projects
Strong project management and contract administration capability
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Strong understanding of engineering standards, governance, and infrastructure delivery frameworks
About You
Bachelor of Engineering recognised under the Washington Accord
Current Class C Driver Licence
Construction White Card
Ability to obtain Criminal History Screening
RPEQ highly regarded
