Home Hill State School, established in 1913, serves 126 Prep to Year 6 students in the Burdekin Shire. Our school offers engaging, real-world learning experiences and a range of arts, cultural, and sports programs. Our families are encouraged to actively participate in school life.
Home Hill is a rural sugar-farming town south of the Burdekin River, 10 minutes from Ayr and 100 km from Townsville, northern Australia's largest city. Townsville is known for its defence base, top-tier services, and relaxed tropical lifestyle. The coastal area provides easy access to the Great Barrier Reef, Wet Tropics rainforests, and the outback.
