ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Advocacy Campaigns Leader, you will provide strategic leadership for CA NZ's advocacy and government relations agenda. Reporting to the Group Executive, Advocacy, Public and Government Affairs, this senior leadership role is responsible for designing and delivering integrated advocacy campaigns, policy positioning and government engagement that advance CA ANZ's strategic priorities. Working closely with advocacy leaders, subject matter experts, public affairs and government stakeholders, you will establish the frameworks, systems and capabilities required for coordinated, proactive and high‐impact advocacy across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the design and delivery of coordinated advocacy and public campaigns aligned to CA ANZ's strategic priorities.
* Develop and embed advocacy campaign frameworks, governance and operating rhythms to enable consistent and effective influence.
* Shape and implement CA ANZ's government affairs strategy, ensuring engagement with ministers, regulators and officials is targeted and aligned.
* Translate complex policy and regulatory issues into compelling advocacy positions, narratives and campaign messaging.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with government, industry, members and internal stakeholders.
* Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on political, policy and regulatory developments.
* Integrate technology, AI and digital policy considerations into advocacy and government relations activity.
ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic, influential leader with deep experience in advocacy, public policy or government relations. You thrive in complex environments and are confident leading large‐scale campaigns that require collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
YOU WILL BRING
* Extensive experience in advocacy, government relations, policy or campaign leadership roles.
* Proven enterprise experience, with the ability to operate effectively in large, complex and highly governed environments.
* Demonstrated capability to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans, manage delivery and track outcomes.
* Proven success designing and leading multi‐stakeholder advocacy or public policy campaigns.
* Strong understanding of political processes, policy development and parliamentary systems.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead cross‐functional collaboration.
* Experience advising senior executives and operating as a trusted strategic partner.
* A leadership style that is inclusive, values‐driven and focused on coaching and capability development.
* Tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, Communications or a related discipline.
