The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team and we encourage applications from candidates who live locally or can easily commute to our Nuriootpa facility in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will develop, document, and implement maintenance management systems for filtration plants, distillation units, and refrigeration systems.
* Oversee preventative maintenance works.
* Analyse operational data to maximise plant efficiency and performance.
* Collaborate with team members on new build projects, including writing control and automation specifications.
* Assist with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of filtration and process systems.
* Propose and evaluate solutions for software and hardware issues using professional judgment.
* Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
* Stay current with industry trends and innovations to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience in the Wine, Beverage or Liquid Processing industries is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of fluid & hydraulic systems, pneumatics, electrical, and electronic components.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex solutions.
* Proven capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and achieve goals.
* Familiarity with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across organisational levels.
* Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
