Are you passionate about community engagement and the value of data to inform meaningful and effective programs.? The City of Marion is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Programs Officer to join our dedicated Community Centres team.

Reporting to the Community Centres Coordinator (Programs), you will work in collaboration on the planning, implementation, facilitation, evaluation and reporting outcomes of programs across our community centres. Guided by Council's community vision and funding obligations, you will ensure our programs respond to emerging community needs and continue to deliver high-quality outcome.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys using outcomes and data to demonstrate program successes.
You will:
* Identify community needs and in collaboration with centre team, conduct community engagement initiatives to strengthen partnerships and encourage participation.
* Collaborate with community members, stakeholders, and colleagues to design and deliver inclusive programs.
* Collect and report data to measure program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
* Support Community Centre leadership to prepare reports that meet funding body requirements
* Support customer service operations that include first point of contact, program bookings, payments and telephone enquiries.
* Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of program development and delivery.
We're looking for someone with:
* Data gathering and reporting skills.
* Excellent written communication skill and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail.
* The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
* Skills in coordinating projects.
* Experience in community centres or related, volunteer coordination will be highly regarded
* Experience working in grant-funded programs will also be highly regarded,
The position works across four community centre facilities, requiring travel within the City of Marion, a current driver's licence is essential for the role. Occasional after-hours work is also required. Additionally, this is a 'Prescribed Position', requiring successful completion of a DHS Working with Children check every five (5) years and Child Safe Environment Training required every three (3) years, as well a hold a First Aid Certificate, or willingness to gain undergo training provided by the City of Marion.
