About the role
Due to continues growth, BRW has a newly created full time role available for the position of Project Manager - Remote Services.
The purpose of this role is to manage and be a key contact for our remote Rail Maintenance Supervisors throughout our Victoria and NSW depots, in order to meet our customers' requirements whilst fostering the company's core values of quality, service and safety.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- To Manage our remote Rail Maintenance Supervisors and their teams on all aspects of the required maintenance works including
Full scope of the project
Project compliance and quality requirements
Resource, material and equipment allowances
Start dates, key dates during the project and completion date.
Key customer contacts
- Be a key contact for customers for all enquiries
- Be a key contact for our Remote Supervisors
- Develop at the start of each project time lines, labour budgets, key performance indicators and critical moments and report the success of each item
- Deliver progress reports on all aspects of projects
- Report to management at the completion of each project as to the outcomes of the project
- Detailed labour resource planning
- Communicate with key customer contacts including email, phone, meetings and site visits.
- Prepare tender/pricing
- Establish new field service facilities as required (e.g. organise site, equipment, staff, components, interface, safety and QA procedures etc)
- Establish new field service vehicles/trailers as required and maintain to the required standard with the required equipment and components
- Manage with remote supervisors scheduling of field service activities
- Oversee allocation of tasks to field service technicians
- Manage the rostering of field service team in line with scheduled servicing and maintenance events
- Reporting of issues to the management team and customers as required
- Oversee the organising and attending emergency call outs as required
- Travel to various our maintenance depots within VIC and NSW from time to time, as required
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years rail maintenance experience or in a more senior role outside the rail industry
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels - staff, management & customers
Quality focused, with a high attention to detail
Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Hold a current unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
Hold a current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
Ability to pass Rail Industry medical if/as required
Ability to travel to various maintenance depots within VIC and NSW from time to time, as required
