About the role
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of cleaning staff at a major private school to ensure high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety are maintained.
Classification: Level 3
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 12noon to 8pm
Location: Drysdale, Vic
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
* Lead, train, and support cleaning staff, including safe use of equipment and chemicals in a school setting
* Conduct regular inspections of classrooms, amenities, offices, and common areas
* Manage cleaning schedules, supplies, and equipment to support school operations and events
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and child-safe standards
* Liaise with school leadership and site contacts to meet daily, event, and holiday cleaning requirements
* Assist with hands-on cleaning during peak periods, absences, or school shutdowns
* Lead by example in maintaining high presentation and hygiene standards
What you'll bring
* Previous experience supervising cleaning teams, ideally in a school or similar environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to support and motivate staff
* Knowledge of cleaning standards, safe work practices, and chemical handling
* Ability to manage schedules, inspections, and supplies effectively
* Current right to work in Australia, willingness to obtain an Employer WWCC, National Police Check and other compliance requirements
