About the role
At Home Care Darling Downs, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced home care worker. The Home Care Worker is responsible for providing home care clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community.
As a Home Care Worker, you will:
* Provide general domestic assistance; assist in the preparation and cooking of in‑home meals; ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
* Assist clients with medications
* Provide social support to clients by providing transport, assisting with social outings, shopping etc.
* Provide personal care assistance to clients for example showering, dressing and toileting
What we're looking for
This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a difference - providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. You will be a valued member of the team, working closely with and reporting to our very supportive Senior Home Care Workers as needed.
Qualifications and requirements
* Certificate 3 in Ageing or Individual Support with Medication competency or willing to obtain
* A current driver's license
* A National Police Check
