The SCH Corporate Services Directorate aims to provide high quality customer focused Facilities Management services to the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and other site facilities to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services. It is also responsible for ensuring Hospital operations satisfy the Government Energy Management Policy (GEMP) and Hospital Assets are managed in accordance to NSW Health guidelines and Health AMMS (Assets Management Maintenance System) requirements.
The Project Manager is a strategic position to oversee the planning and implementation of capital and minor works projects. The responsibility includes capital works, building management, and control systems or related building services equipment at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick.
This role is responsible to the SCHN Facility Planning Lead to coordinate the engineering, design and development by consultants regarding capital and minor works projects to meet the required standard including Building Code of Australia, Health Facility Guidelines etc. Additionally, the position will oversee capital and minor works contractors including project planning and scheduling, supplier quotations, review of safe work method statements through Rapid Induct, appropriate communication of disruptions, resolve access issues, and liaising with adjacent clinical or operational areas

* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, or a combination of study and demonstrated industry experience.
* Extensive Project Management, specifically in equipment installation and building construction with a trade background preferred.
* Highly developed written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership capability with strong problem solving and decision-making skills in complex environments
* Sound knowledge and understanding of Building Management Control Systems and their practical application.
* Capacity and willingness to participate in an after-hours on call roster as part of a collaborative team environment.
* Demonstrated proficiency in understanding Computer Aided Design (CAD) and the interpretation of technical drawings.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and Word and MS Project
