Based in Geraldton, WA, The Freemasons Hotel is a vibrant and friendly award-winning venue based offering a range of traditional pub meals using the best locally sourced seasonal produce the region has to offer. The venue hosts and caters functions and live entertainment.
We are seeking a driven and experienced Cooks and Chefs who can join the kitchen team with professionalism, diligence and pride.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Preparing a variety of international from our menu and based on custom orders
* Work with the Head Chef to plan menus, estimate food costs, and ordering food supplies
* Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* Discussing food preparation issues with Head Chef, kitchen and waiting staff
* Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
* Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
* Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
* To maintain the highest level of cleanliness in all kitchen sections ensuring all equipment and utensils are correctly stored at the conclusion of rostered shift.
* To ensure the ordering of all food items is carried out for the assigned section in
* consultation with the Head Chef
* All other duties as are directed by the Head Chef
Requirements:
* Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or at least 3 years relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
* Minimum 2 years relevant experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of food hygiene and safe culinary practices
* Committed to delivering exceptional food quality and dishes with an ability to prepare, cook, portion and serve foodstuffs to the highest standard
* Knowledge of international Cuisine

Pay: $78,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year
