Overview
Casual Administration Officer – NSW Health, Orange, NSW. Employment Type: Casual. Position Classification: Administration Officer Level 2. Remuneration: $32.30 - $33.37 per hr (+ superannuation + salary packaging options). Location: Orange, NSW. Hours Per Week: Casual. Applications Close: 25 September 2025 – 11:59pm.
Role purpose: Casual Administration staff provide support to Orange Hospital administration units including Health Information and Community Health. The role requires availability to cover vacant shifts, sick leave or general leave for day, afternoon, night shifts, weekends and public holidays. You will perform a range of operational, clerical and administrative tasks to support smooth running of the facility, assist with more complex tasks or projects, and provide relief for other staff as required to support efficiency and quality within the service and team. You will support the manager and team with quality improvement activities, make decisions and take initiative in day-to-day operational matters, and work under general instruction and broad supervision.

Responsibilities
- Provide casual clerical and administrative support to Orange Hospital administration units.
- Cover vacant shifts, sick leave or general leave on day, afternoon, night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Assist with operational tasks, projects and quality improvement activities as directed.
- Support the manager and team with day-to-day decisions and work according to established procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in administrative or clerical duties within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to work with general instruction and broad supervision; reliable and flexible to cover varying shifts.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
