Valhalla Tactical Australia is a fast-growing Australian tactical and outdoor brand, supplying high-quality gear to professionals and enthusiasts nationwide. We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to support our finance operations and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.


About the Role


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of accounts, working independently, and being part of a tight-knit team. You'll be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

This position begins as casual, once you pass your probational period we will offer you a full time contract position. Our ideal candidate would be seeking a long term position. Our business has grown immensely in the last few months and there are options for growth in future within the company.

Hours: Monday to Friday hours per week 9am to 5pm.

Location: Valhalla Tactical Head Office - Stafford QLD


Key Responsibilities

* Day-to-day bookkeeping using accounting software Xero.
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Processing invoices, expenses, and payments
* Payroll processing and superannuation
* Assisting with end-of-month reporting
* Liaising with external accountants as required
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation


About You

* Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role with hands-on responsibility for Xero
* Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards, GST, and BAS preparation and lodgement
* Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
* Confident in completing bank and credit card reconciliations accurately and on schedule
* Experience supporting payroll, superannuation, and compliance obligations
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in transaction coding and reporting.
* Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and meet compliance timeframes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Accounting experience in an e-commerce or retail environment is highly regarded
* Proven record of reliable attendance and professionalism
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Experience with ERP, dispatch, or stock management systems is highly regarded
* Familiarity with Shopify order fulfilment and/or Cin7 Omni will be highly regarded

Must Have:

* Drivers Licence and own a reliable car to get to work.
* Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights.
