Project Engineer Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be part of a skilled team working to develop technical and project management skills. The role involves exposure to tender bids and submissions, ensuring cost-effective construction methodologies, tracking project finances, and preparing variations and claims.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement cost-effective construction methods to improve project efficiency.
* Track project finances, review costs against budgets, and highlight margin impacts.
* Participate in design and investigation kick-off meetings to ensure schedules, planning, and risks are covered prior to submissions.
* Prepare and manage variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
* Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
* Review Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) and environmental procedures before work begins.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction/Project Management is required, along with 4+ years of experience in Project Engineering within the Water, utilities, or transport spaces.
